Dude have a WHOLE FORREST behind his house but choose to burn half rotten driftwood xD what the hell? I see a dozen dead trees that will fall in the next storm. Cut those up if you dont want to cut living trees. Also. Why in the hell are muricans drying wood as huge chunks that take forever to dry. Smaller firewood also burn more efficiently creating less tar and creosolite...

This brought me to tears. Off grid living is amazing. Unfortunately it's only just becoming a thing in germany and the people that have started living their life this way unsually have to invest a lot of money first. If I ever end up buying a plot I'll try my best to make this work. Until then I'll start with small things. Balcony garden, saving and collecting water, keeping heating to a minimum, rethinking what I need electricity for, etc. Such an inspiring video. Thank you for sharing :)
